This is a special price on our most popular colors and sizes of polyurethane spiral hoses. The port side tail is 4" and has a male NPT rigid fitting. The tool side tail is 20" and has a male NPT swivel fitting. This spiral features our reusable, compression fittings found in our Brass Catalog. On the 1/4" and 21/64" ID hoses, please advise color when ordering (CB=Clear Blue, Y=Yellow). The 3/8" and 1/2" ID hoses are only available in Clear Blue. Unless otherwise advised, spirals are in stock and will ship within 48 hours of receipt of your order. Exact dimensions are available by contacting ATP.

These are standard spiral assemblies using our durable, heavy-duty compression fittings. They are available in any of our standard polyurethane tubing colors. Color should be indicated at time of order. Working Length is approximately 80% of the Total Length. Exact dimensions can be requested by contacting ATP.

Automotive, appliance and furniture assembly line operators are constantly in and out of the product, putting any spiral to the test. ATP's Strong Spirals were developed to address two of the most common problems inherent in spiral hoses used in these applications—tangling and kinking of the spiral when used repeatedly at or beyond its recommended service length, and the natural tendency of the spiral to straighten out, or lose its "memory," over time.

A special manufacturing process allows us to make a much smaller coil diameter which greatly increases the "memory" of the assembly—even in the most demanding environments. The degree of sag is minimal and consistent, and kinking is virtually eliminated. These features give this spiral a much longer service life than any other spiral on the market. ATP only uses our durable, heavy-duty compression fittings on this spiral.

We developed Strong Spirals especially for automotive, appliance and furniture assembly line operators. To this, we added the Plus, creating the Ultimate Spiral. Because these operators are in and around painted and finished surfaces, we've added an extra-long tail made of ultra-lightweight hose, a lightweight, safety coupler, and protective coverings to eliminate damage from metal-to-metal contact. Exact dimensions are available by contacting ATP. Create the Ultimate Ergonomic Spiral—Add a U.S. Industrial Free Angle® Swivel Fitting to the coupler.

Custom Spirals

Custom spirals can be made from any of our standard polyurethane tubing sizes and can be bonded to create multi-core spirals. (For more information on bonded hose & tubing see our Technibond® page.) We can create complete assemblies with fittings, couplers and covers, plugs, and Free Angle swivel fittings. Specifically for air tool applications, ask about internal lube lines and external capillary lines.

There are 4 standard items necessary for us to know to be able to quote your custom requirements on spirals. Color does not effect price, but should be indicated at time of order. A "drawing" will be issued detailing all spiral dimensions and pricing for your approval.

• ID and OD of the hose.
• Either total length or working length needed.
• Tail lengths.
• Fitting requirements.

Some of the terms we will use when quoting you will be:

Total Length—This will be the total length of the tubing before spiraling.
Working Length—Also known as Service Length. Defined by how far the spiral will stretch. Working length in standard spirals is approximately 80% of the total length. In Strong spirals, working length is approximately 60% of the total length. We are able to quote spirals by working length if you know how far you need the spiral to stretch from point A to point B. We are also able to quote by the number of turns.
Tail Length—Tail length dimensions are included in both total and service length dimensions. If necessary, we can quote compressed coils and add tail lengths to arrive at your requirements.
Compressed Coil, Turns or "C" Dimension—All refer to the amount of tubing which is actually spiraled. Our maximum "C" dimension is 64".
Coil ID—Our coil ID is determined by the size of the tubing being spiraled. This ID is small enough to allow the spiral to retract and prevent it from sagging while still providing optimum air flow without flattening the tubing.
Coil OD—Determined by Coil ID and OD of the tubing to be spiraled.

ATP has standard tooling that is selected per each size of tubing which allows for a maximum working length. Custom spiraling can be done on various tooling sizes per your requirements allowing various Coil ID's and OD's.

Dimensions are calculated by a computer. Actual dimensions may vary slightly. If dimensions are critical for your application, please advise us at the time of quotation so we may calculate accordingly.

We will make every effort to ensure the specifications of the spiral you order is accurate before production begins. However, due to their very special nature, custom spiral orders cannot be cancelled once production begins, and are not eligible for return except in the event of an error on the part of ATP.
